“Victory belongs to the most persevering”- Napoleon, French Emperor, 1800’s
I share with you a real live CST Student-athlete moment reflecting in great perseverance. Enjoy this story.
Setting- Sunday, March 13, 2011- Quinnipiac Bobcats v Richmond Spiders, Baseball game, Richmond, VA
Situation- top of the 9th inning, Quinnipiac at bat, up comes Junior Brett Bradanini, to pinch hit.
What’s so special you’re wondering? Brett came to Quinnipiac 3 years ago with high hopes. After suffering through a couple of serious injury setbacks and two seasons totally missed, Brett made his first collegiate baseball at bat appearance in yesterday’s game. When the vast majority of people, let alone young student-athletes, quit when faced with what Brett was faced with, Brett persevered.
Victory belongs to Brett Bradanini! Congratulations to Brett and his family for this special moment in Collegiate sports time. It may have seemed like an insignificant moment to others, but it was a mighty big moment to all of us. And we are proud of Brett!
