Welcome 2012, it’s Showtime…

The strength of the group is the strength of the leaders.” -  Vince Lombardi

Mom and Dad, it’s showtime. When it comes to playing college sports and the recruiting game, either you’re playing or you’re not. You know your kids don’t want to sit on the bench, how about you? Here is how you play the game.

2012 grads- your applications should be in, acceptances should be arriving. It’s time to be negotiating your
financial award, considering college majors, revisiting your top 3-4 colleges, and getting ready to make an important college decision.

2013 grads- if you don’t have plans to visit 10 colleges and meet their coaches in the next two months, then you’re sitting on the sidelines. January and February are great months to go on recruiting trips, what are you waiting for?

2014 grads- now is the time to build your initial list of colleges, research the colleges, and begin visiting the colleges. Plan to visit 15-20 colleges by July 1st, but don’t wait until June to begin, rather, plan your visits now or else the time will pass you by.

2015 grads- begin building your full student-package. Set goals for achievement and record it on your personal student-athlete profile. Make your first videotape.
